The Suunto Vyper Novo takes your diving to the next level with its advanced features. The large format screen presents the essential information to you, it’s easy to read, and lit with a brilliant back light…a protective shield is included in the box. Also included is a rubber housing and bungee strap which you may find more suitable than the wrist strap.
Decompression calculations are processed by Suunto’s RGBM continuous algorithm for air or nitrox and the gas switching feature allows you to programme up to 3 nitrox mixtures between 21% and 99%. If you select Free Diving mode the computer will record how many breath holding dives you made each day along with the surface time between each dive. In this mode you can access Suunto’s apnea timer feature which is invaluable when training with co/co2 tables. Switching to gauge mode will turn off any decompression calculations and the Vyper will function purely as a dive timer and depth gauge during the dive. Off mode will prevent your computer switching from surface to dive mode whenever you take a swim or a bath.
The Vyper can be paired with Suunto’s optional Wireless Tank Pressure Transmitter, this allows you to wirelessly monitor your gas consumption during your dive and if you find navigating underwater a bit of a challenge you will love the integrated digital compass.
