Vandagraph Oxygen Analyser
|
| This unit is specially designed for the diving environment, achieving a high degree of waterproofing intended to enable it to survive exposure to severe splashing, if care is taken to dry it out afterwards.A galvanic-type sensor determines, by molecule counting, the oxygen partial pressure. Discrimination is obtained using a pair of metallic electrodes immersed in an alcaline electrolyte. The oxygen molecules passing through a permeable (selective) fluorocarbonated diaphragm get dissolved in the electrolyte, are polarized when coming in contact with the cathode and thus oxidize the anode. The number of electrons subsequently released is directly proportional to the number of oxygen molecules involved.Simple in use, before analysing the gas sample the unit is calibrated in air. It comprises A compact electronic unit A remote galvanic sensor Coiled cable allowing different measurement methods An optional kit to allow direct connection to a DIN cylinder valve for flow-through testing. The unit can be used in conjunction with a ventilated plastic bag for stationary gas measurement, or it can be used with the T-piece and the Flow-Through divertor for improved response time.SPECIFICATIONS Measuring range : 0 - 100 % oxygen Accuracy : +/- 1% full scale Resolution : 0.1% LCD Digital display Response time : 90% in less than 10 seconds ON/OFF switch with auto switch-off Calibration potentiometer Remote measurement input Sensor type : R-17 Sensor life : 48 months in air, 10 months in 100% oxygen Temperature range : 0-40°C 9 V alkaline battery battery life : 12 months (typical) dimensions : 60 x 120 x 25mm weight : 205gm incl. battery and sensor cable length : 250 - 759mm plastic case |
