	Underwater Naturalist The PADI Underwater Naturalist Speciality course has the following purposes: * To create an awareness of the underwater world and its aquatic life * To evoke a sense of responsibility and encourage respect for aquatic organisms * To expand the public's knowledge of the aquatic environment by providing accurate, factual information about aquatic animals Academic topics include: * Introduction to the aquatic realm * Aquatic life mythology and human perceptions * Survey of aquatic life and relationships between aquatic animals * Responsible human interactions with aquatic life COURSE REQUIREMENTS * Minimum age: 12 years * Certification: Padi Open Water diver, Junior Open Water diver or an equivalent rating. * Be in good health with no medical conditions incompatible with diving and confident in the water.
